Vom 1. bis 4. August 2011 fand an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin die sechste Weltkonferenz zur Angelfischerei (6th World Recreational Fishing Conference) statt. Besatzfisch war maßgeblich an der Organisation beteiligt. Im Zuge dieses internationalen Großereignisses entstand  der Sonderband der renommierten Fachzeitschrift "Fisheries Mangament and Ecology".
